I'm also wondering what advancements may have lead to the greatest population spurts over time. I'm curious to know how long it might take say a population of 1000 to become 5000 for example, and how long for that 5000 to become 10000, and so on and so on. How quickly does a population grow, over history? I've done some googling and having really found anything concrete.
